The two villages of Woodditton & Saxon Street are approximately one mile apart and are situated three & a half miles south-east of Newmarket in the parish of Woodditton. A part of the southern boundary is the anglo-saxon earthworks, Devils Ditch, which is crossed by the roman road – the Icknield way.
